10 years ago, 2013 — Revenue was up at the 48th annual Custer State Park Fall Classic Bison Auction, as 331 buffalo were auctioned to the highest bidders for a total of $478,070, up from $405,370 the previous year. Gary Brundage, resource program manager at Custer State Park, said about 60 more head were sold and that only the heifer calves and yearling bulls saw prices higher than a year ago...Clara Sedlacek and Nathaniel Steele, seventh grade, and Logan Block and Mackenzie Laverick, eighth grade, were named students of the month for September.
