The Masons went the extra mile this year when the Delta Dental of South Dakota's Molar 1 truck came to the Hill City School District the week of Jan. 13 to provide free dental care for children who do not have access to it. Truck coordinator Teresa Masteller mentioned that they were low on diesel and needed to refuel the truck and generator. Mason Kade McVey said he had some on his truck and promptly pulled alongside Molar 1 to refuel it out of his own tank. From the left are Mason John Knapp, McVey and Masteller.

For over a decade, a large truck has been parked at the Hill City School District for one week a year. Children can be seen coming and going from the truck throughout the day, and they all leave with bright, healthy smiles.
