Typical job duties include observing instructional practices, training teachers and staff, ordering new instructional materials, facilitating the design and implementation of a district-wide, content-specific scope and sequence, and ensuring the district curriculum meets all state guidelines. Other responsibilities involve meeting with school administrators and assessing students’ grades with the goal of helping the school raise overall test scores. The curriculum coordinator specializes in a specific academic subject or area and facilitates vertical planning across grade levels K-12.The ability to teach Agricultural Science is preferred but not required.
