Shirley Carr

Shirley May (Ertel) Carr was born Aug. 1, 1927, in Wisconsin to George and Mayme (Schwartz) Lewig.
Shirley, of Custer, S.D., passed away May 20, 2021, at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital in Rapid City, S.D. She was 93.
She is survived by her husband, Clinton of Custer; sons, John (Gail) Ertel of Custer, and Gary (Doris) Ertel of Hillpoint, Wis.; grandchildren, Jocelynn, Jarrod and Jason; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces, Carol and Karen.  
Memorial services were May 25 at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Custer,.  Private family burial will be held at Pringle (SD) Cemetery.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley’s Funeral Home in Custer.
