On Feb. 16 the Hill City High School Ranger boys basketball team faced the Rapid City Christian Comets for a home game. The Comets defeated the Rangers 79-60 last year. This time the Comets won 77-51.
Next, the Ranger boys had a home game against the St. Thomas More Cavaliers Feb. 18. In 2022, the Cavaliers won 69-34. This time the scores were almost identical with the Cavaliers winning 66-31.
Finally, the Ranger boys' luck took a turn in their game against the Custer Wildcats Feb. 20. Although the Wildcats previously beat the Rangers by a point this season, the Rangers took home a win this time with a final score of 66-53.
With that, the Ranger boys wrapped up their regular season. The Rangers' first region game will take place in Hill City  Tuesday, Feb. 28. Their opponent has yet to be decided.
“The boys are excited,” said coach Laramie Harvey.
