Custer Jr./Sr. High School (CHS) Drama Department will present its One-Act play “...And Others” Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 9 a.m. at the CHS theater as part of the Region VI One-Act play competition. The club will also give a performance of the play Sunday, Feb. 2, at 2 p.m.
The play is about a journey through the mind and memory of Amanda, a 26-year-old woman “...And Others” explores the dissociative identity disorder (multiple personality disorder) that resulted from a trauma she suffered at age 13. Seven personas — female and male — struggle for control with a mix of terrifying intensity, quirky humor and heartbreaking revelations.
“I chose this play because it has depth.” play director and drama teacher Susan Bowen said. “It is also the best play we have ever done.”
Students performing in the play are Anna Marie Riner, Rachel Larcher, Odalys Estrada, Justus Kramer, Miles Ellman, Timothy Johnson, Taylee Schramm and Danny Nelson. Technical crew consists of Jon Anker, Moriah Kersey and Mical Grace. The play is directed by Bowen.
