The Hill City Flower show takes place July 24. The theme “Bountiful Blossoms” encourages participants to concentrate on things that start with the letter B. The show will also have a country flair and western decorations. The show is open to the public and you do not need to be a member in order to submit an entry in the show.
Entries will be accepted from 8-10 a.m. at the Boys and Girls Club in Hill City.  Categories for entry  include annuals, perennials, wildflowers, miniature garden, container garden, arrangements, table with place setting and children’s division.
The show will feature activities for children as well. Between 9-11 a.m.  children will have an opportunity to make mini gardens with a western theme. A raffle with generous donations from Jon Crane Gallery, Jolly Lane Greenhouse and Dakota Greens will benefit the Boys and Girls Club.
“We hope the community stops by,” said Merlene Broer. “Maybe we can interest them in joining our garden club.”
