Easter services in Hill City, Keystone

Easter is coming early this year, and with it the churches in Hill City and Keystone are busy preparing special services to celebrate the holiday. 

In Hill City The Little White Church (LWC) will have Palm Sunday services at 8:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. Mar. 24. 

There will be a Good Friday service at 6 p.m. Mar. 29. During this service, the elders of LWC will be taking turns speaking about the events leading up to the crucifixion, and there will be communion.

Easter services will be at 8:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. Mar. 31. There will be an Easter Breakfast from 9-10:15 a.m. 

Community Lutheran Church will have a Palm Sunday service at 9 a.m. Mar. 24, a Maundy Thursday service at 6 p.m. Mar. 28 and a Good Friday service at 6 p.m. Mar. 29. 

For Easter, there will be a breakfast at 9 a.m. and worship at 10:15 a.m. Mar. 31. 

Lighthouse Assembly of God will have a Palm Sunday service at 9 a.m. Mar. 24. There will be an Easter breakfast at 9 a.m. Mar. 31 followed by a service at 10:30 a.m. 

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will have a Palm and Passion Sunday service at 8:15 a.m. Mar. 24. 

On Mar. 28 they will have a Holy Maundy Thursday service at 6:30 p.m. The next day they will have a Good Friday Tenebrae Vespers service at 5:30 p.m.

There will be a Resurrection Day service at 8:15 a.m. Mar. 31 after a breakfast at 7 a.m.

St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church will have a 6 p.m. Spanish mass Mar. 23 and a 10 a.m. Palm Sunday service Mar. 24. 

For Holy Thursday Mar. 28, there will be a bilingual mass at 6:30 p.m. For Good Friday Mar. 29 there will be Stations of the Cross at 3 p.m. with a celebration of the Lord’s passion at 6:30 p.m. 

Easter Vigil will be at 8 p.m. Mar. 30, and Easter mass will be 10 a.m. Mar. 31. 

In Keystone, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church will have an 8 a.m. service for Palm Sunday Mar. 24. The congregation will then be celebrating Holy Thursday and Good Friday in conjunction with St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. 

Easter mass will be at 8 a.m. Mar. 31. 

The First Congregational Church of Keystone will be attending the 76th annual Easter Sunday Sunrise Celebration at Mount Rushmore Amphitheatre at 7 a.m. Mar. 31. It will be filled with music and praise celebrating the resurrection of the Lord.
