Rickey “Rick” Retzlaff was born June 22, 1947 at Norfolk, Neb., to Delbert and Lois (Klug) Retzlaff.      
Rick married Karen Schaefer April 28, 1979, and enjoyed many years of marriage and memories at their home in Osceola, Neb., where Rick worked for the local pipeline and managed the terminal outside of town.  Later in life Rick resided in Hill City, S.D.
He had a passion for many things that include Husker football, baseball, golf, horses, hunting and camping, but his biggest passion was his love for his family and friends.

Arlene Reetz

Arlene Reetz was born Aug. 8, 1940, to Marion and Katherine Hoover in Appleton, Wis. She was the second of six children.
Arle grew up outside of Neenah, Wis., on the shores of Lake Winnebago. It was there that she found her passion for the outdoors and animals. She enjoyed swimming, waterskiing, hunting, fishing and raising pheasants. She worked in the family bakery where she developed a love of helping people and conveying love through the expression of food.

Randall Lundquist

Randall Darwin Lundquist was born Nov. 21, 2012, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, S.D., to Adam and Katie (Coy) Lundquist. He was named after both of his grandfathers. He grew up in Worthing, S.D., and had just completed the third grade at Worthing Elementary.
Randall was a good kid, a wonderful student and devoted friend who was friends with everyone. He was a great big brother, who always looked out for his younger brother, Grey.

Janice Winger

Janice Andersen Winger was born to Chris S. and Stella Andersen Oct. 5, 1929.
She graduated from South Dakota State University and attended Black Hills State College.  She met her husband while she was teaching in Worland, Wyo. Following her marriage to Edgar Winger in 1954, they went to Peru. Their son Philip was born in Talara, Peru in 1958.
The family moved to Belem, Para, Brazil where Ed taught Brazilian geologists well site geology.  Michael was born in Belem in 1960.

Dick Drummond

Dick Drummond was born July 7, 1935, in Dell Rapids, S.D., to Webster and Julia Drummond.
Dick served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953-66.
Dick was the proud founder of Ricardos Restaurant in Norfolk, Neb., in 1975 where he raised his family.
He married his wife Kathy in 2002, and traveled many places, especially south to their favorite spot in Rockport, Texas, where they spent their time sailing and with their American Legion friends.

Willis Dawkins

Willis Dawkins was born March 19, 1938, in Albion, Neb., to Willis and Alma (Weifenbach) Dawkins.
Willis, of Birch Bay, Wash., died May 11, 2022 in Waianae, Hawaii. He was 84.
He was preceeded in death by his father and mother; brother, Duane; sister, Delores (Reed); oldest son, Richard; and granddaughter, Jennifer.

Karthryn Stverak

Kathryn (Kathy) Jeanne Stverak was born Nov. 4, 1943, in Centerville, S.D., the daughter of Arnold and Estella (Sorensen) Andersen. She grew up and attended school in Turner County and graduated from Centerville High School.
Kathy attended South Dakota State University in Brookings. She graduated in 1965 with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Food Science and served as a registered dietitian.
Kathy was united in marriage with the love of her life, George Charles Stverak, Aug. 12, 1967, in Watertown, S.D.

Joseph Harris

The eldest of four rambunctious boys, Joseph Edward Harris was born Nov. 4, 1940, in Washington, D.C., to Evelyn Virginia and George Joseph Harris.
A devoted husband, big brother, father of four sons, radar navigator/bombardier, rockhound and community volunteer, Joe brightened the lives of many with his joyful, giving, and compassionate spirit. He loved his wife. He loved his sons. He loved all his furry friends but none like Ophie!

Dale Helsing

Dale Helsing was born in Ladysmith, Wis., Oct. 10, 1967, to Harley and Evelyn Helsing and spent most of his childhood and teen years in Hill City, S.D.  
He was one of six siblings, including brother John (Rosalina) Helsing and sisters, Charlotte Labansky, Linda (Michael) McCarron, Sarah (Corey) Teresinski and Monika (Tom) Lobsinger.
