Hill City Restaurant Week begins April 10. There are nine restaurants participating. Hill City Chamber of Commerce executive director Erin Loder said that is a strong number, especially “considering we are not quite in our peak season yet.”
Restaurant Week is a way for people to support local restaurants and sample food.
“This event provides our restaurants with an opportunity to showcase their creativity by featuring specials that are not a part of their menu on a daily basis, while attracting new customers,” Loder said. “Thus, also allowing patrons to try something new and unique and revisit their favorite local spots.”
Some restaurants, like Tin City Saloon, are doing just that, offering venison oscar king crab for dinner and duck sausage for lunch. Chute Rooster is doing two market price specials—smoked beef short ribs and osso buco, a classic Italian dish.
Three Forks Bar and Grill is sticking to its staple and serving up its award winning chili as well as a build-a-burger. Sick N Twisted is featuring its popular calzones. The Downtown Deli and Bakery has two breakfast specials—blueberry overnight French toast casserole and a Denver scramble, plus a lunch special sandwich called the Mother Clucker.
Newly opened Prairie Dog Taproom has a bison trio, three dog night and throwdown meatball hoagie to give people a taste of their food offerings The Alpine Inn is offering special German Bienenstich cake along with a Maultaschen lunch special. Other participating restaurants include The Hill City Cafe and All Aboard.
“We feel very strongly that Hill City has a wide array and variety of really unique restaurants and owners who have fabulous employees, and this is an opportunity for people to enjoy top-notch meals at a great value,” Loder said.
Patrons who come to Hill City Restaurant week can get a Hill City Restaurant Week punch card at any of the participating restaurants.
“Eat off of their menus offered three times at different locations to fill up your card and turn it in at any participating restaurant for a chance to win prizes from Restaurant Week sponsors, as well as the opportunity to win chamber bucks,” Loder said.
Cards must be turned in by Sunday, April 13. The chamber will host a Facebook Live drawing on Monday, April 14, and contact the winners.
Restaurant Week takes place in Hill City April 10-13.
